Educational Heritage of Gopalganj

Gopalganj is a land of wisdom, and its educational journey reflects the cultural and intellectual heritage of Bihar.

The Department of Education is responsible for preserving this proud legacy while expanding access to modern, inclusive, and future-ready learning. Education in Gopalganj developed gradually from traditional religious learning systems to modern schools, colleges, and technical institutions.

Early Education Traditions

Before modern schools were established, education in the Gopalganj region was mainly provided through community-based and religious systems. At that time, the region was part of the old Saran district.
